The proposed improvements include relocation of the basketball court, resurfacing of the tennis courts, picnic shelters, pavilions, kayak launch, Kayak storage, fishing piers, boardwalks, observation decks, dog park , open space, playground, landscaping and additional parking.

The bayside improvements are complete and the beach access improvements will be completed soon. A grand opening is planned for November 2017. DMK is proud to be a part of this project which provides recreational amenities and access to the waterfront to the Town of Longboat Key and Sarasota County residents and visitors.

Nokomis Beach Pavilion Restoration

This project involved the renovation of the Nokomis Beach Pavilion located on Casey Key. As consultant to Sarasota County, DMK Associates provided the design and permitting of the improvements including reconstruction of the parking lot, bathroom facilities and dune walkovers to fit within the architectural theme of the original design.

Additional services included construction plans and details for the site improvements, structural details for dune lookout and walkovers as well as design and permitting of a lift station and force main serving the restroom facilities.

An Environmental Resource Permit from the Tampa office of FDEP was obtained.

Bealls Department Store #59

As part of an infill project at the existing Merchants Crossing Shopping Center in North Ft. Myers, FL, DMK was selected to provide surveying, engineering design and permitting services for the 75,000 SF Bealls Store #59.

DMK worked with Lee County and South Florida Water Management District staff to ensure the proposed development satisfied all of the existing Development of Regional Impact (DRI) requirements.

Redfish Key Condominiums

The Redfish Key Condominium Project consisted of DMK's design, permitting and construction support services for the 35 unit complex.  The site was formerly the Mad Sam's Restaurant, also designed and permitted by DMK, giving DMK historical knowledge of this ideal location on Lemon Bay.

The Project entailed the demolition of the existing buildings, parking lot and other improvements plus the design and permitting of the new site.  The irregular shape of the parcel plus the owner's desire to maximize density posed several challenges to the DMK Design Team.  However, through innovative design and by working closely with Charlotte County Zoning staff, DMK was able to meet both Client and County goals for the project.

Services provided during the project included survey (including bathymetric), civil design, permitting and construction support.
